Position Overview:

We are looking for positive and friendly, customer-focused Front of House staff members to join our team at Grins Vegetarian Cafe. In this role, you will be essential to ensuring every guest has an excellent dining experience. From greeting customers and assisting with menu selections to preparing beverages and maintaining a clean and organized cafe, you'll be instrumental in creating a positive and memorable atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet customers and provide a friendly, welcoming experience.
• Assist guests with menu choices and offer recommendations based on their preferences.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, pastries, and menu items with attention to detail and quality.
• Ensure that all food and drinks are presented to meet Grins' quality standards.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions, process payments, and provide change when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including cleaning tables, restocking, and keeping the beverage station tidy.
• Monitor inventory levels of cafe supplies and communicate any needs to management.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring hygiene protocols are followed and surfaces and equipment are regularly cleaned and sanitized.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality, ideally in a cafe or restaurant setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude towards guests and coworkers.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
• Flexibility to work Monday through Friday (no weekends required!).
• A passion for delivering exceptional service in a plant-based, eco-conscious environment.
