What's behind the label? Here's what Regenerative Organic Certified really means.

USDA Organic is the starting point for every Regenerative Organic Certified® product. ROC® builds on that foundation with additional requirements across three connected pillars:

SOIL HEALTH · SOCIAL FAIRNESS · ANIMAL WELFARE

Rather than focusing only on what farms should avoid, regenerative organic agriculture asks what farming can actively restore—from the microorganisms in the soil to the ecosystems and communities surrounding it.

Animal-welfare standards apply where animals are part of the agricultural system. For coffee, the most visible work happens through soil health, biodiversity, water protection and fairness for farmers and workers.

REGENERATIVE ORGANIC FAQ

Is all Bongo coffee Regenerative Organic Certified®?

No. This four-coffee collection carries ROC® certification. Other Bongo coffees share similar sourcing values and are USDA Organic without carrying the additional certification.

Is ROC® the same as Fair Trade?

No. Regenerative Organic Certified® and Fair Trade are separate certification standards.

ROC® includes requirements around social fairness, while Fair Trade follows its own standards and verification process. A coffee may carry both certifications.

Is the ROC® Collection available for wholesale?

Yes. Cafés, offices, hospitality programs, grocery retailers, and more can contact Bongo’s wholesale team for samples, pricing and current availability. Email support@bongojava.com to learn more.

Where can I buy the ROC® Collection?

The complete collection is available online. Individual coffee availability at Bongo cafés and retail partners may vary.

Will ROC® coffees always be available?

Elliston and Telar Alto are year-round blends. Tolima and Churupampa are seasonal single origins and may rotate with harvests and availability.
